UL FRONT is a multi-broker, multi-portfolio supported EMS for trading across asset classes that combines market data anlysis and trading functionalities including basket trading, program trading and the ability to import orders.

According to ULLINK, by using UL FRONT, buy-and sell-side firms can cut in-house development and maintenance costs and focus on core businesses.

The firm's customer base consist of asset managers and hedge funds primarily in Europe. Client numbers in the Americas and Asia Pacific are rapidly expanding.

Sourcing options

UL FRONT can be deployed on a hosted, enterprise and software-as-a-service basis. Clients are typically on-boarded within three to five days.

Counterparty connectivity

UL FRONT provides internet-based connectivity for screens and market data. Receiving brokers are provided a FIX connection to the UL NET financial community.

ULLINK’s customised trade order management (OMS) UL ODISYS uses straight-through processing from client to back-office, order staging and management, audit, auto or manual reporting, order allocation, indication of interest, profit and loss, smart order routing, program trading, crossing trades, market making and algo empowerment.

Asset classes

The asset classes by UL FRONT include stocks, exchange-traded funds, exchange-traded notes, exchange-traded commodities, funds, options, futures, warrants, structured products and fixed income.

Pre- and post-trade analytics

UL FRONT offers access to real-time data, historial data, news, charting, fundamental data and estimates. Other pre-trade capabilities include fragmentation, tick-by-tick data, intra-day and time and sales of trades.

Post-trade analytics include order history, trades overview and dynamic export of order and trades.

Future plans

Foreign exchange capabilities will be added to UL FRONT during Q1 2013.
