Hasenpusch to take helm at CME Europe

CME Clearing Europe has appointed Tina Hasenpuch as its new CEO, taking over from Lee Betshill who is moving to its US arm.

CME Clearing Europe has appointed Tina Hasenpusch as its new CEO, taking over from Lee Betshill who is moving to its US arm.

Hasenpusch is currently chief operating officer for the European clearing business, where she worked closely with Betsill to grow CME Clearing Europe.

In her new role, she will be responsible for ongoing growth and working with customers to address their clearing requirements.

Before joining CME in 2009, Hasenpusch was part of Barclays’ strategy team in London and also has experience working in the trading and clearing market development department of Eurex.

Betsill, who joined CME in January 2010, will take on a role as managing director of global clearing operations at CME Clearing in Chicago.

Originally from the trading floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Betsill joined London Stock Exchange in 1995 as head of clearing operations for its options market.
