ICAP appoints new head of PTRI in Asia

ICAP creates new position to extend its post-trade risk and information services business in Asia.

ICAP has appointed a head of its post-trade risk and information services (PTRI) business in Asia, in a newly created position.

Guy Rowcliffe, formerly chief executive officer at RESET - a business formerly known as Switchfix which ICAP acquired and integrated into its PTRI unit in 2008 – will head up PTRI for ICAP in the Asia region.

He has over 20 years experience in post-trade and interest rate derivatives markets in both Asia and London markets.

Jenny Knott, chief executive officer of ICAP’s PTRI, explained Asia is an important region for ICAP’s transition to NEX Group.

“While some of our businesses have a more established presence in Asia Pacific, we have seen a great deal of opportunity to extend our entire offerings to our many clients in the region,” she said.

Rowcliffe added that developing a strategy in the region is “key to the growth of our PTRI division in Asia-Pacific.”
