ICAP hires electronic trade veteran to lead e-commerce

ICAP’s FX electronic spot trading business, EBS, has hired Paul Allmark as global head of e-commerce solutions, reporting directly to EBS CEO Gil Mandelzis.

ICAP’s FX electronic spot trading business, EBS, has hired Paul Allmark as global head of e-commerce solutions, reporting directly to EBS CEO Gil Mandelzis.

He will be responsible for growing EBS’s liquidity distribution, including its white label and aggregation offerings.

Allmark previously spent 10 years at Reuters, joining as global head of electronic trading before moving on to become head of marketplaces for Europe. During his time at Reuters, Allmark built the financial information and data provider’s electronic trading business and its aggregation service.

Prior to joining Reuters he worked for six years at Desdner Kleinwort Benson where he launched the bank’s Internet FX trading platform, Piranha.

Commenting on the appointment, Mandelzis said: “Paul’s deep knowledge of both FX and electronic trading is going to be crucial in ensuring EBS provides its customers worldwide with innovative and world class e-commerce solutions.”
