JP Morgan futures veteran departs, sets up clearing consultancy

The firm will provide consultancy services to sell-side firms operating in the cleared derivatives space.

Futures veteran Chris Mitchell has left JP Morgan to set up a new consultancy firm focused on central clearing.

Mitchell left the bank in May to set up Solutions 4 Clearing, which will provide consultancy services to the derivatives and technology industry, The Trade Derivatives understands.

He previously served as JP Morgan’s global head of derivatives clearing operations change for almost five and a half years. Prior to that, he was an executive director at UBS for over 13 years.

A spokesperson for JP Morgan could not comment at the time of print.

In March, the bank hired Anthony Fraser from Goldman Sachs as its new regional head of derivatives clearing operations and global head of derivatives clearing change.
