Agency broker Knight Capital Europe has added Evan Graj and Scott Schucht to the sales team of its Knight Direct algorithmic trading and smart order routing division. Graj, as director and Scott, who becomes VP, Trading, will report to Bradley Duke, the unit’s managing director.

Graj and Schucht were both most recently employed at broker Newedge, formed last year as a joint venture between French banks Société Générale and Calyon. Both had previously worked at Bear Stearns, the US investment bank that was sold to J.P. Morgan in 2008.

Knight Capital Europe is a division of US broker Knight Capital. Graj and Schucht’s appointment is part of Knight’s continuing development of Knight Direct in Europe. The firm launched its suite of algorithms and smart order routing technology, called FAN, in Europe in April. Knight also introduced its Knight Link off-exchange liquidity service earlier this month.
