US-based agency broker Knight Capital Group has made a raft of new hires to strengthen its institutional options sales and trading teams.

The team will be led by newly appointed managing directors Adam J. Templeton and Ryan J. Sylvester, who were previously co-heads of the strategic options group at multi-asset brokerage house Newedge USA.

Brad Manuilow, also a previous Newedge employee, will join Knight’s San Francisco office, while James F. Murphy, Robert F. Mabry and Jeffrey R. Fittipaldi also join the team from Pali Capital.

The new hires will be a key component of Knight’s listed derivatives group and will be charged with pushing the broker’s global strategy of expanding asset classes and developing client relationships.

“We are excited to offer this new business led by a highly experienced team to our diverse client base,” said Greg Voetsch, executive vice president, head of global equities at Knight Capital Group. “By leveraging our global footprint and extending beyond equities, we can provide additional value to our clients and help them best achieve their trading goals and objectives.”
