LSE launches market data platform

‘Group Tick Plant’ is the first real-time data platform to be introduced at a global exchange group.

The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) announced it has launched a ‘market data dissemination platform’, the first to be rolled out by a global exchange.

The platform, referred to as Group Tick Plant, aims to standardise the flow of real-time market data “from multiple feeds into a single binary protocol.”

Group Tick Plant intends to deliver market data at predictable, deterministic latencies. It is the first real-time data platform rolled out by a global exchange group.

Chris Corrado, group chief operating officer explained that platform is a “flagship technology project for LSEG.”

Corrado said: “Innovation is at the core of everything we do and Global Tick Plant provides us with architecture to deliver an ambitious suite of market data products for our varied customer base”.

The platform is available to all of LSEG’s customers.
