The London Stock Exchange (LSE) is expected to formally confirm the date for the migration of its cash equities trading systems to its new Millennium Exchange this week, following testing over the weekend. The move is currently expected on 14 November at the earliest.

The exchange has stated that feedback from the latest round of testing – the third dress rehearsal for the switchover from its current platform, TradElect, – has been “very positive”. The feedback is currently being reviewed, pending the definitive announcement tomorrow.

The LSE previously experienced some technical problems during the migration of its multilateral trading facility Turquoise to Millennium last month.

Prior to the Turquoise migration, the LSE had expected to shift its main cash equity markets to Millennium on 1 November.
