MarketAxess pricing and transaction data has been integrated into Arcesium’s Aquata and Opterra platforms.
The integration covers two MarketAxess data products: CP+ is the firm’s algorithmic pricing engine for global credit and rates markets and TraX which provides daily trade volumes and transaction data on fixed income instruments.
Specifically, the move is designed to let hedge funds, asset managers and capital markets firms pull MarketAxess fixed income data directly into their operational workflows.
Alex Dobson, senior vice president and head of product at Arcesium said: “Fixed income markets can be dynamic, one market movement can have a ripple effect across portfolios. Having more data is only valuable if firms can lean on market intelligence and operational context across one view in order to make better decisions.
“Our integration with MarketAxess provides fixed income teams rich market data and clean operational data in one place, allowing firms to act on pricing and liquidity signals within their core operating environment.”
Clients that use both firms can now embed the pricing, liquidity and transaction data in their front-to-back processes without building custom integrations.
The data is designed to support liquidity analysis, price discovery, relative value assessment and risk analytics.
Ena Gordon, head of data and analytics product at MarketAxess, said: “As fixed income markets grow more complex, investors need trusted data and purpose-built tools to operate at scale.
“By integrating our proprietary data with Arcesium’s platforms, clients can gain a reliable source of truth for fixed income trading and operations.”
The integration comes a little over two months after Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) agreed to acquire MarketAxess for $167 per share in cash, valuing the firm at around $6 billion.
At the time, ICE said it planned to combine pre-trade price discovery and analytics, electronic execution and post-trade data and benchmarking on one connected platform.
The two firms have maintained a relationship, that began with repo matching, since June 2024.
