Markit appoints Sally Clarke as global head of marketing

Data vendor and valuations house Markit has appointed Sally Clarke as Global Head of Marketing. Clarke joins the company as a director reporting to Mike Rushmore, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Sales and Marketing.

Data vendor and valuations house Markit has appointed Sally Clarke as Global Head of Marketing. Clarke joins the company as a director reporting to Mike Rushmore, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Sales and Marketing.

Clarke will be responsible for developing and managing Markit's marketing function across all products and regions. She will develop and execute an overall marketing strategy for the company's expanding portfolio of over 20 products. Clarke will also be responsible for brand strategy.

Prior to joining Markit, Clarke worked at SunGard for seven years in various marketing roles. Most recently, she was a senior executive responsible for marketing SunGard's Capital Markets and Investment Banking technology solutions.

"Sally brings strong strategic and planning skills to our marketing team," says Rushmore. "Her knowledge of the financial services sector combined with her track record for delivering successful marketing strategies will considerably help Markit's rapid expansion."

Clarke herself says that she is "delighted to have joined such a dynamic business. Clarke holds an MA in International Business and Finance from the University of Barcelona and a postgraduate diploma in Spanish Language and Culture. She also holds a professional qualification in international commerce from the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.
