US equity exchange NASDAQ has launched The NASDAQ DataStore, a range of online data tools for institutional and individual investors.

As part of this launch, NASDAQ will also be supporting full ‘plug-and-play’ access to its premium market data products. NASDAQ claims this distribution allows market data vendors and market data distributors more efficient, easier, and less expensive deployments of new data products.

Four products are available through the DataStore. NASDAQ Net Order Imbalance Indicator (NOII), which provides information to enable users to find liquidity and predict cross prices before they occur; BookViewer, a tool that allows users to view buy and sell orders for securities listed on NASDAQ, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the American Stock Exchange (Amex); NASDAQ Market Velocity & Forces, which can indicate levels of pre-trade interest and market activity in NASDAQ stocks as well as indicate the direction of market momentum; and Daily Share Volume, which enables users to track market participants’ trading activity in specific stocks and sectors.
