Neonet, a global agency broker and trading technology provider, has appointed a number of senior executives to its global sales and trading team.

The broker has expanded the team to increase its focus on buy-side needs, dark pool provision, low-latency connectivity and liquidity seeking algorithms.

Peter Johansson, previously head of trading at Neonet,

has assumed the role of global head of equities, based in Stockholm. The new role will give him combined responsibilities for sales and trading.

Patrik Ristner has been appointed as global head of sales, managing eleven sales people across Europe and the US from London. His past experience includes stints at proprietary trading company Pan Capital in Hong Kong and trading technology firm Orc Software in Chicago.

“I see an increasingly complex equity market where Neonet’s combination of technology and services can make a big difference for traders’ ability to capture opportunities in the markets, both on the buy-side and sell-side, said Johansson, in a statement.

In addition, Neonet has hired senior sales executives in the US including Lynn Cannizzaro, who previously worked in the electronic trading divisions of brokers Credit Suisse, J.P. Morgan and Société Générale, and Jerome DeSantis, who has held roles at agency brokers Axes and Bloomberg Tradebook and technology provider GL Trade.

In the UK, Christian Bower has joined Neonet as a sales executive from trading technology company Portware, where he was responsible for sales in Europe, Middle East and Africa and led Portware’s expansion outside the US.
