Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank, has launched Barclays Capital Live, a web-based client portal for accessing its trading and research tools.

The portal grants BarCap clients online access to the investment bank’s electronic trading products via BARX, its multi-asset class trading platform, global research, indices products and data, real-time and historical analytics and prime services reporting tools.

According to BarCap, 37,000 users have logged in to the new service since its launch, with 1,000 new users accessing the site every week.

“We have integrated the best of legacy Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital products to provide an offering which is unique in its depth and breadth across every asset class and every discipline,” said Guglielmo Sartori di Borgoricco, head of distribution at Barclays Capital, in a statement.

“Barclays Capital Live provides a powerful platform for our clients, combining our top-ranked research, a broad array of analytical tools, and our multi-asset class electronic trading services from BARX,” added Larry Kantor, head of research at Barclays Capital.
