US investment bank Jefferies has added its latest suite of algorithms to execution management system RealTick, which it claims will help traders respond quicker to changing market conditions.

RealTick users can now trade international equities using new Jefferies’ strategies such as Multiscale, Trader and Panel, all of which are designed to allow traders to better manage their executions in real time. The algos can be used in conjunction with Jefferies’ existing direct market access, program trading and order routing capabilities for equities and US options in RealTick.

Jefferies has also enhanced its pairs trading algorithm, which allows simultaneous execution of two stocks using pre-defined conditions such as spread, price ratio and relative performance against a specific benchmark.

“As Jefferies continues to expand globally, we expect our algorithmic suite including our pairs algorithms, coupled with RealTick’s highly user friendly platform, to provide clients with enhanced execution capabilities and performance for their trading strategies,” said Daniel Charney, head of global electronic trading services at Jefferies. “All of our algorithms use sophisticated order placement, enabling the strategies to intelligently source displayed and non-displayed liquidity.”

In addition to Jefferies, RealTick’s broker network includes Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital, BNP Paribas, CA Cheuvreux, Citigroup, ConvergEx Group, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Instinet, J.P. Morgan, Knight, MF Global, Morgan Stanley, Nomura, RBC Capital Markets, Societe Generale, and UBS.
