Newedge has named Steeve Charvet as global head of financial futures options, equities and fixed income execution.

Charvet, who has more than 20 years of trading experience, will also join the brokerage’s executive committee.

“Best execution is of vital importance to clients," said David Escoffier, CEO at Newedge. "They value the trade ideas we bring, the analysis, the unrivalled market access and best in class technology.”

Escoffier said Charvet’s trading experience and market knowledge will take Newedge’s offering to the next level.

Chervet joined FIMAT, one of Newedge’s predecessor companies, in 2006 and served as global head of fixed income at Newedge since 2010. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2006, Chervet was the founder and partner of multi-asset agency broker ETC, where he led the execution. He also held a series of sales positions at Tullet, Tradition and Credit Lyonnais.
