New role for Charles River chief executive who had held the role for almost six years and played a key role in State Street’s Alpha strategy. 

Individual brings almost a decade of industry experience and has also previously worked at JP Morgan.  

Individual has also previously worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs; move coincides with the firm’s head of public-side sales, EMEA, transition to become vice-chair of EMEA global markets. 

Individual left UBS earlier this year following the unexpected decision to shutter its outsourced business in March 2025, as revealed by The TRADE at the time.

Individual brings more than two decades of industry experience to his new position, and has also previously worked at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Nomura and Lehman Brothers.  

Last week, the market saw a swathe of moves, including appointments across high touch trading, fixed income, and equities.

Individuals join from RBC and Jefferies and have 35 years of experience between them.

The bank has also appointed a new head of cash execution risk and quantitative services.

Individual has previously worked at SEB, Arctic Securities, Nordea Markets, Natixis and Morgan Stanley.  

Individual initially joined the exchange in 2021 to drive growth and operations and previously spent more than 15 years at State Street.
