NJ Asset Management streamlines order management and compliance management with Bloomberg solutions

Bloomberg AIM will allow the asset manager to expand its investment strategy across multiple portfolios, while Bloomberg Vault will be used to aggregate a range of e-communications data.

Bloomberg AIM and Bloomberg Vault have been adopted by India-based NJ Asset Management to help enable its enterprise-wide digital strategy across the entire investment workflow.

The asset manager will use Bloomberg’s order and investment management solution AIM in connection with its portfolio analytics, order management and trading compliance activities.

According to the firms, Bloomberg AIM addresses NJ Asset Management’s specific needs for tools to support rule-based investment decision-making.

AIM will allow NJ Asset Management to expand its investment strategy across its portfolios while also utilising real-time data for rebalancing decisions.

Bloomberg Vault will also be used by the asset manager to aggregate and capture a range of e-communications data for compliance monitoring, surveillance purposes and record retention.

“Bloomberg AIM was a natural choice for an order management system for us. Used by many of the world’s top investment managers, it has the ability to scale efficiently with our growth,” said Rajiv Shastri, director and chief executive of NJ Asset Management.

“Bloomberg’s full range of buy-side technologies aligns well with our rule-based investment philosophy and we expect these to enable us to operate efficiently, diligently and transparently.”

Compliance and surveillance solution, Bloomberg Vault, helps global financial services firms meet their regulatory obligations and business standards.

Earlier this month, Ace Capital became the latest buy-side firm to adopt the offering for electronic communications monitoring.

Bloomberg Vault allows Ace Capital to gather voice data from traditional phone systems, mobile phones, towers and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) throughout the trade lifecycle.

“Asset managers need to navigate a fast-evolving market and regulatory environment, and adoption of Bloomberg’s AIM and Vault solutions will help NJ Asset Management to optimise their operations and improve their efficiency, agility and compliance,” said Rajiv Mirwani, head of enterprise sales, South Asia at Bloomberg.

“We are committed to helping our clients overcome new challenges with fresh data insights, cutting-edge portfolio management tools, and streamlined functionality to support operations – all on one efficient Bloomberg workflow.”
