UK-based boutique brokerage Olivetree Securities has added two new executives to its sector strategy and distribution teams.

Timothy Daniels, previously director of equity sales at institutional brokerage Panmure Gordon, joins as an executive Olivetree’s technology, media and telecoms team within its sector strategy group. Daniels has also worked at Citigroup as director of principal trading and M&G Investment as director of equities.

In addition, Siobhan McGeever joins Olivetree’s distribution group as an executive. McGeever joins from agency broker Knight Capital Europe, where she was vice president and sales trader for European and US cash equities. She has also worked in the cash equities divisions at Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley.

“I warmly welcome Tim and Siobhan to Olivetree. With our growing team of experienced professionals we can continue to expand our presence in the market providing first class trading ideas and execution services of the highest quality to our clients,” said Daryn Kutner, CEO and founder, Olivetree.

Kutner founded Olivetree in early 2009 after a 12-year career at Morgan Stanley, where he had stints managing both its European and US equities businesses.

Olivetree’s business model relies on sector strategists that work closely with its execution and distribution desks, whose aim is to provide tailored trade ideas to clients.
