Orange Business Services – Trading Solutions, the trading infrastructure division of telecommunications firm Orange, has named Lionel Grosclaude as its new chief executive officer.

Grosclaude, previously the unit’s chief operating officer, has taken over from Pierre-Louis de Guillebon, who has assumed a new role within the business-to-business market sector of the Orange Business Services Group following his three-year stint as CEO of Trading Solutions.

Grosclaude, who has been at the firm since 2005, now has full responsibility for the direction of the firm, managing 15 subsidiaries worldwide. Before joining Orange Business Solutions, he was vice president of the carriers business for France Telecom.

“Taking over Orange Business Services – Trading Solutions in the current market is particularly challenging. Our focus will continue to be on meeting the needs of customers and helping them to achieve competitive advantage by providing innovative solutions to their trading requirements, whether regulatory compliance or a desire to reduce latency,” said Grosclaude in a statement. “I’m looking forward to developing the firm further, leveraging the expertise and resources of our parent group to drive the business forward and in new directions. The market can expect to hear interesting company and product news over the course of the next few months.”
