OTC Markets Group has launched a data service providing comprehensive corporate action data for companies trading on its marketplaces.

The OTC Corporate Actions Data Service was created in conjunction with financial and securities data providers Exchange Data International (EDI).

It will publish information on all OTCQX, OTCQB and OTC Pink securities, including the underlying securities for American Depositary Receipts and foreign ordinates traded in the US.

The service will publish standard corporate action data, but will also offer information on actions initiated by depository banks, including book closings and openings.

Matthew Fuchs, managing director of market data and strategy at OTC Markets Group, said: ""Corporate action information on underlying securities and depository bank actions will provide investors a more complete data set for decision-making."

The subscription-based service is available in a variety of formats through EDI's corporate action web application. It is searchable and allows users to predefine their search criteria to receive email alerts when changes affect portfolio securities.

OTC operates marketplaces for 10,000 US securities, linking to a network of broker-dealers providing liquidity and execution services. Its securities are organized into three different marketplaces, differentiated by opportunity and risk.
