
Andrew Bruce has been named director and head of low touch execution, having most recently served as an executive director the global equities team at JP Morgan.
Joining from Jefferies, where he served as head of sales trading, is Christian Ford who has been appointed director, equities high touch execution.
Nicolas Lebon is the third external hire for Citi’s Australian markets business, joining from Credit Agricole where he worked as a director in global markets sales. At Citi he is set to be a director in the firm’s corporate solutions group.
In addition, Dan Smith has been promoted from within to an expanded role, set to be take over as head of Australia, prime finance in the equities business.
Elsewhere, Citi Australia and New Zealand has also announced several appointments across its research offering.
Paul Buys has been named head of research for Australia and New Zealand, joining from Canaccord Genuity where he held the same role. He replaces Paul McTaggart who is retiring at the end of the year. Buys’ previous positions include deputy head of APAC securities research for Credit Suisse.

MarketAxess
Dean Berry has joined MarketAxess Holdings as group chief operating officer and chief executive of EMEA and APAC, following more than four years at LSEG.
London-based Berry most recently served as LSEG’s head of workflows, a position he had held since January 2024. He was also interim co-head of the firm’s data and analytics business, which he took up in December 2024.
Berry’s new role is set to begin in Q4 2025 and in the role will oversee MarketAxess’ Global Operations, Risk, Product and Technology offering, and assist in driving forward the firm’s fixed-income markets globally.
His time at LSEG also includes a stint as global head of trading and banking solutions from November 2020 to February 2024.
Speaking about his new appointment, Berry said: “I am excited to be joining the team at MarketAxess. I believe my previous experience as both a fixed-income trader and as a champion of electronic trading, as well as my track record of profitable product-led innovation, will set us up for continued success.”
RBC Capital Markets
Harry Williams has joined RBC Capital Markets as a credit trader, following on from his previous role at MUFG, as revealed by The TRADE.
London-based Williams began his new position in May 2025. He joins from MUFG, where he worked as a senior European financials trader from August 2023 to April 2025.
Prior to his time at MUFG, he worked at UBS for a year, covering global fixed income portfolio management.
Williams confirmed his new appointment in an announcement on social media. RBC Capital Markets had not yet commented by the time of publication.
BNP Paribas
Jack Tierney, former Credit Suisse equity trader, has joined the cash equities trading team at BNP Paribas, as revealed by The TRADE.
A spokesperson for BNP confirmed his appointment.
He joins BNP Paribas in its cash equities trading team after most recently serving in Credit Suisse’s equity execution services division in a senior client coverage and multi-product trading role.
Tierney joined Credit Suisse in 2018 from Goldman Sachs where had been working as an equity sales traders in program trading, algos, and cash for four years.
Previously in his career, Tierney spent two and a half years at Instinet in an electronic sales and trading role and almost five years at JP Morgan in a program sales and trading role.
