Exchange group NYSE Euronext has snapped up Jon Robson from Thomson Reuters to lead its NYSE Technologies subsidiary.

In his new role at the exchange’s commercial technology subsidiary, Robson will be responsible for the oversight of NYSE Technologies' global capital markets connectivity, transaction and data services businesses.

Robson will be based in New York, reporting to NYSE Euronext president and deputy CEO Dominique Cerutti.

“I’m thrilled to be joining NYSE Technologies at such an important time of transformational change in global capital markets,” said Robson. “This business is uniquely positioned to work closely with the financial community and individual market participants to deliver innovative ways to operate more efficiently, and to enable effective responses to changes in market structure and the impact of new regulation on business operations.”

In his previous role at Thomson Reuters, Robson was president of the firm’s enterprise business, which includes responsibility for pricing and reference data products, digital data feeds, middleware technology and trade and risk management solutions.

“We are pleased to have Jon join us as the new CEO of NYSE Technologies. He brings considerable industry experience and proven leadership in building and managing innovative, customer focused global technology solutions,” said Cerutti.
