Branner joins the firm from Fortis where he held the position of chief investment officer. Prior to joining Fortis, he was CIO and managing director at IKANO Fund Management, a Luxembourg-based fund manager.

In his new role, he will be responsible for developing the SEB mutual funds offering and building on the bank’s position within alternative investments.

“The asset management business faces great opportunities and challenges, and I am very glad that Peter, with his long international experience from our industry, will lead the fund management development within SEB,” said Fredrik Boheman, head of wealth management at SEB, in a statement.
