SIX has partnered with Snowflake to deliver its financial data directly through the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, as the market infrastructure provider looks to effectively simplify data integration and reduce operational complexity in an increasingly data-driven market.”

The integration allows mutual clients to access, combine and analyse SIX’s regulatory, reference and pricing datasets natively within their Snowflake environments, removing the need for manual inputs.
The move comes as financial institutions face mounting reporting obligations, including frameworks such as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) Crypto Asset Reporting Framework (CARF).
The framework aims to provides visibility on the transactions of users of crypto assets and requires crypto asset service providers (RCASPs) to collect information in relation to in scope transactions, on an annual basis.
Additionally, these regulations provide for mandatory registration of reporting crypto asset providers and contain specific penalties for non-compliance.
Laurent Lefèvre, head of customer interfaces and financial information at SIX, said: “Our collaboration with Snowflake simplifies how financial institutions access and use high-quality financial information. By bringing SIX data directly into the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, clients can accelerate innovation, while focusing on insights and efficiency, rather than managing data pipelines.
“Through this integrated intelligence network, we are empowering investors to make faster, data-led financial decisions.”
