Sky Road, a financial technology provider, has integrated its cross-asset portfolio management solution with trading software firm Marketcetera’s open-source automated trading platform.

According to Sky Road, combining its portfolio management system, which supports trading, risk and operations, with Marketcetera will enable it to enhance the product’s functionality in areas such as electronic trade capture, order management and order routing. Both firms’ clients will be able to benefit from the joint offering.

“As the financial services landscape continues to evolve and as firms face new pressures, we are finding that financial institutions are increasingly in need of solutions that provide speed of implementation, flexibility, scalability, and comprehensive trading capabilities,” said John Borse, CEO of Sky Road, in a statement. “By developing a solution with Marketcetera, we are now able to offer even more advanced trading capabilities to our clients.”

Graham Miller, CEO of Marketcetera, added, “We see a huge potential in the marketplace for hosted trading solutions, as evidenced by the software-as-a-service platform we rolled out to our high frequency trading customers last month.”
