Soc Gen names new head of global markets

Frank Drouet will take over as head of global markets, replacing Daniel Fields.

Societe Generale has announced Frank Drouet will take over the role of head of global markets.

Drouet was previously head of global markets for Asia-Pacific at the French bank, and has been with Societe Generale for 22 years.

He will be replacing Daniel Fields who left the bank “to pursue other opportunities outside the bank”, said the bank.

Drouet will report to head of global banking and investor solutions Didier Valet, who praised Drouet’s “long-term commitment in developing our markets activities platform.”

Drouet will also become a member of the Societe Generale’s management committee.

Previous job roles he has carried out for the French bank include head of equities and derivatives trading in Hong Kong and head of warrants trading in Paris.
