Technology provider SunGard has unveiled a new tool that consolidates front- and middle-office processes onto one interface, enabling smaller asset managers to streamline their business.
Asset Arena 360 gives a complete view of clients’ investments and exposures, in addition to cost management and compliance functionality, allowing asset managers to further outsource their technology needs.
The product is part of SunGard’s software-as-a-service tools and offers support across the entire investment chain. This includes portfolio analysis and simulation, to risk management, trade execution through to client reporting and back-office reconciliation.
Martin Boyd, president of SunGard’s asset management business, said the new technology lets boutique brokers focus on establishing more profitable client relationships.
“While larger firms enjoy economies of scale, smaller players can prosper in their niche markets if they provide excellent service and benchmark-beating returns to their clients,” Boyd said, adding that the compiling of front-, middle- and back-office information would also allow increased customisation.
