This partnership marks the advancement of both BSE’s attempt to strengthen global relations, and ADX’s continued efforts to uphold connections with international financial institutions.
The move will enable exchange members to use ION’s Fidessa algorithmic trading functionality on BSE, with the aim of reducing costs and improving efficiency.
As a registered Independent Software Vendor, and with ION’s Fidessa used for connectivity outside of India, the move will help support the continued growth of Indian capital markets.
This follows the launch of securities lending and market-making businesses by the Beijing Stock Exchange (BSE) earlier this year.
Singapore Exchange plans to launch new Indian equities futures products in June.
