UBS Investment Bank has appointed Andre Esteves as global head of fixed income. He is currently chairman and chief executive of the bank’s Latin American business and will relocate to London from Brazil. Esteves will remain responsible for Latin America.
In his new role Esteves will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s suite of fixed income products across all regions. He will continue to report to Huw Jenkins, chairman and chief executive of UBS Investment Bank. Esteves is a member of the UBS group managing board.
“Andre brings strong execution and risk management skills to the role, in addition to his emerging markets experience and track record building a highly successful business,” says Jenkins. “Under his leadership, with a renewed focus on swift implementation, I am confident we can achieve the ambitious step change in market position we are striving for.”
