People Moves Monday: J O Hambro, Jefferies and DZ Bank

J O Hambro  

Adam Simmons has left his role as head of trading at J O Hambro Capital Management, according to sources familiar with the matter.   

London-based Simmons is departing after seven years at the firm, having taken over the role from Louis de Kock in 2023, as revealed by The TRADE at the time.  

His next position is as yet unconfirmed.   

During Simmons’ time in the role, he directed the firm’s global trading function and assumed responsibility for execution strategy, broker relationships and regulatory engagement across London, New York and Singapore.   

Previously he had also held trader and TCA analyst positions at J O Hambro.  

Prior to this, Simmons has also worked in business support associate and credit risk analyst positions at Charles Stanley & Co. and Lloyds Banking Group, respectively.  

Previously, Simmons was recognised as one of The TRADE’s Rising Stars of Trading and Execution in 2023.  

Jefferies  

Former Barclays executive director, Michael Georgis, has joined Jefferies as managing director, head of fixed income, Switzerland.   

Georgis joined the sell-side firm from Barclays Investment Bank, where he had been since July 2025. In his new role he will be based out of Zurich. 

Prior to this, he spent more than four years at Morgan Stanley, where he served as an executive director in relative value sales and as head of Swiss fixed income.   

He also held an executive director position at Goldman Sachs for two years.   

Previously in his career, he served as a vice president, covering illiquids and relative value at Deutsche Bank, where he also began his industry career in 2013 as an intern working across global markets, fixed income and equity derivatives.  

DZ Bank 

DZ Bank has appointed Jeremy Balleux to a position in fixed income sales, based out of Frankfurt.  

Balleux brings extensive experience to his new role at the German bank, spanning fixed income, interest rate derivatives, structured products and credit products.  

He joins DZ Bank from JP Morgan, where he spent the last nine years working across France, Belgium, Luxembourg rates sales, covering clients in this region.  

Prior to this, he worked in Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg flow credit sales at Lloyds in London for two years.  

Previously in his career, he also worked at BNP Paribas in various roles, including as a business manager, fixed income, EMEA, and across rates sales flow and solutions.
