Invesco hires from HSBC for new APAC ETF capital markets head

Appointment will be based in Hong Kong; previously held the same role at HSBC for five years.

Invesco has appointed Daniel Skora as head of ETF capital markets, APAC, based in Hong Kong.

Skora brings extensive ETF experience to his new role, and joins the asset manager after five years at HSBC in the same position.

Speaking in an announcement on social media, Skora said: “The ETF market continues to be one of the most dynamic areas in financial markets, and I’m pleased to join a talented global team focused on delivering innovative investment solutions for our clients.

“Looking forward to partnering with our clients and industry partners across the region while helping to expand and strengthen Invesco’s ETF capabilities.”

Previously, Skora also held a nine-year tenure at DWS Group, having initially joined in a graduate role in 2011.

He worked across Frankfurt, London and Hong Kong during his time at DWS Group, and most recently held a role which focused on Xtrackers ETF capital markets, Asia Pacific.

Invesco had not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.

Skora’s appointment follows news in March 2026 that Robert Pemble had been named head of US equity trading at Invesco, stepping up after 22 years at the firm.

New York-based Pemble most recently spent two years as head of quantitative equity trading.
