Jack Hill has joined Barclays’ quant prime services desk, in a role covering equities electronic trading across EMEA.
London-based Hill will focus on direct market access and low-latency trading in his new position, The TRADE understands.
Prior to joining Barclays, he spent more than three years at Euronext, where he worked as an equity sales manager for the UK and Ireland.
Earlier in his career, Hill has also worked at various sell-side firms, including more than three years at Credit Suisse as an execution trader, and a nearly six-year stint at UBS as a client account manager.
He also began his industry career as a FX trader at JNFX in 2013.
Barclays had not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.
Hill’s appointment follows several notable hires for Barclays in recent months. In September 2026, the firm appointed Takeo Kamai and Warren Kim to its cash equities business in Tokyo.
Kamai takes on the role of head of high touch sales trading, Japan. Both himself and Kim will report to Joseph Lee, head of high touch sales trading, Asia Pacific.
Elsewhere, former LSEG co-head of equity trading, Richard Worrell, joined Barclays in March after more than two years at the exchange.
He serves as a director in EMEA electronic sales at Barclays.
