Citi poaches Deutsche’s global electronic and algo trading head

Sabrina Wilson has more than 20 years’ experience in futures and options, clearing and electronic trading.

Citi has hired a new global head of electronic and algorithmic trading and head of futures, clearing and collateral for EMEA from Deutsche Bank.

Sabrina Wilson held similar positions during her time at Deutsche Bank and she has more than 20 years’ experience in futures and options, clearing, market structure and electronic trading.

Okan Pekin, global head of prime, futures and securities services at Citi, explained the hire “further demonstrates our commitment to attracting the industry's top talent and provide clients with consistent, market-leading solutions”.

Wilson will join Citi in September and will report to global head of futures, clearing and collateral, Jerome Kemp, and head of prime, futures and securities services for EMEA, Chris Cox.

Earlier this week, Citi’s CEO Michael Corbat declared the investment bank’s restructuring since the financial crisis had ended.

The restructure saw the headcount reduced by 40,000 over the past four years, despite the addition of 9,000 people within risk, compliance and regulatory roles.
