Citi adds two new directors to EMEA futures execution team

Both hires will work across global cross-asset futures sales and trading in their new roles, The TRADE understands; appointments previously served at firms including UBS, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.  

Citi has made two new hires to its EMEA futures execution team, appointing Benjamin Benson and Ranald Falconer as directors.  

Benson and Falconer’s appointments are set to support the expansion of Citi’s multi-asset trading franchise, The TRADE understands. 

Both are set to assume responsibility for global cross-asset futures sales and trading in their new roles, spanning Citi’s global client base.  

Benson brings more than 17 years of industry experience to his new position, and joins following a stint at UBS, where he served as a rates ETD executive director for almost four years.  

He also previously held senior roles at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.

Similarly, Falconer has worked across capital markets for more than 15 years, and most recently worked across listed derivatives sales and trading at Goldman Sachs, where he spent the last 10 years.  

He has also held various roles at Morgan Stanley working across equity derivatives and fixed income futures.
