Execution Limited, a UK-based agency broker, has appointed Tony Nash as principal to build the firm’s portfolio and electronic trading platform. The new platform will be launched in Q1 next year. Nash was previously head of portfolio and electronic trading sales at collapsed US investment bank Lehman Brothers.

Nash will be joined by Oliver Wilson, a former senior portfolio sales trader at Lehman, who will head up Execution’s portfolio sales trading desk.

“An electronic trading platform – comprising DMA and algorithms – will complete the broker offering to our customers,” Nash told theTRADEnews.com. “We want to help clients navigate the complex minefield of electronic trading in an agency capacity.”

He said the company is currently building the technology platform that will support both the portfolio and algorithmic trading products.

Execution, which launched in 2001, provides agency execution and research to buy-side institutions – both long-only managers and hedge funds. It has offices in the UK, US and Hong Kong.
