BNP Paribas takes strategic stake in OSTTRA

The French bank joins a consortium of global banks investing in the post-trade infrastructure provider.

BNP Paribas has made a strategic equity investment in OSTTRA, joining a consortium of global banks backing the post-trade infrastructure provider.

The bank joins Bank of America, Barclays, Citi, HSBC, Wells Fargo and UBS Investment Bank, which formed the consortium in February.

Funds managed by private equity firm KKR remain OSTTRA’s majority owner.

Joe Bonnaud, head of global markets EMEA at BNP Paribas, said: “Joining this consortium of leading institutions reflects our commitment to advancing market infrastructure and working collaboratively with OSTTRA to deliver next-generation operational solutions for our clients. OSTTRA’s post-trade architecture is central to the resilience and efficiency of global capital markets.”

OSTTRA to boost investment management offering with HUB acquisition

BNP Paribas’ investment adds to the group’s involvement in OSTTRA as the company continues to develop its post-trade infrastructure across global financial markets.

John Stewart and Guy Rowcliffe, co-CEOs at OSTTRA, said: “Participation further validates our market-leading position and strengthens our collective focus on driving innovation, growth, and efficiency across the global post-trade lifecycle.”

The investment follows OSTTRA’s acquisition of AI-enabled SaaS provider HUB, as the firm looks to expand its investment management offering and post-trade capabilities.
