Orc Software (Orc), a provider of technology for advanced derivatives trading and connectivity, has announced that Audentes Technology, a Chicago-based trading firm, has selected Orc Software’s Liquidator for its derivatives algorithmic trading solution. Orc Liquidator is a black-box trading platform targeted at proprietary trading desks at investment banks, trading firms and hedge funds. "We are impressed by Orc Liquidator's fast time-to-market, low latency, and connectivity to a large number of markets," notes Libby Christy, operations manager, Audentes Technology.
Orc Liquidator allows the rapid deployment of custom trading strategies at a processing speed of over 20,000 orders per second with sub-millisecond latency. Among the custom strategies commonly deployed on Liquidator are cross market futures spreads, listed spread vs. synthetic spread, pairs trading, volatility trades, currency cash and futures arbitrage, local exchange vs. ADR, and option market making. Orc Liquidator has connectivity to over 100 exchanges worldwide.
