AXA Investment Managers has hired Matt McKeith as its new head of equity trading for AXA Rosenberg.
McKeith, who starts Monday 24 September in AXA’s London office, was previously global head of equity trading at Australian investment company First State, based in Hong Kong.
With 14 years institutional dealing experience, McKeith will oversee and coordinate AXA Rosenberg’s equity execution activity of around US$35 billion annual turnover amongst six traders in London, Singapore, and the Bay Area, California.
On announcing the hire, the company said McKeith’s overarching objective will be to work closely with the AXA Rosenberg portfolio management teams to maximise the effectiveness of trade implementation.
McKeith will report directly to Jeremy Baskin, CEO of AXA Rosenberg, collaborating where appropriate with the firm’s trading and securities financing group – TSF Trading – to optimise joint operational, regulatory and counterparty governance.
