RBC Capital Markets appoints new global head of equity structured products trading

Individual will also serve as global co-head of equity QIS trading and joins after more than two decades at Societe Generale, where he served across various senior positions.  

RBC Capital Markets has named Laurent Van Hollemeersch as the firm’s new global head of equity structured products trading and global co-head of equity quantitative investment solutions (QIS) trading.  

New York-based Van Hollemeersch joins the firm after more than two decades at Societe Generale, where he worked across various different roles.  

He initially joined the bank as a structured flow trader in 2005, where he worked across light exotic and hedge funds-oriented products.  

During his tenure, he stepped into senior positions, including as head of hybrid and QIS trading for Americas, and head of US EQD volume and QIS trading.

RBC had not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication. 

Van Hollemeersch’s appointment marks the latest hire for RBC, and in May 2026, Rory Priestley joined the North American equity sales trading desk.  

Priestley is based in London in his new position, and most recently spent a year at BNY as a senior associate covering equity sales trading.
