BNY ConvergEx Group, an agency broker and trading technology firm, has announced that it has been voted one of the top-rated algorithmic providers in three categories of The TRADE’s 2008 Algorithmic Trading Survey.

ConvergEx’s global algorithmic trading services were named in the roll of honour in the following categories: Execution Consistency, Reducing Market Impact, and Cost.

The TRADE’s 2008 Algorithmic Trading Survey polled traders from over 150 buy-side firms to find the top algorithmic trading providers in 15 different categories.

According to the survey findings, traders placed great importance on the ability of algorithms to reduce market impact and ensure execution consistency, two of the categories in which ConvergEx was named.
