BNY ConvergEx Group, an agency brokerage and investment technology solutions provider, announced yesterday that its Eze Castle Software (ECS) subsidiary has launched a single-system OMS that includes global EMS capabilities.
This new release offers a customisable trade blotter where traders can view Level I and Level II global market data, time and sales, charts and market watch. From the OMS, traders can execute orders using global DMA capabilities, the ConvergEx CrossSM or the ConvergEx Algorithmic suite. This new offering also includes access to ConvergEx's integrated transaction cost analysis platform for performance measurement and ConvergEx commission management functionality to facilitate third-party payment.
Traders can also leverage the new feature set to enhance more traditional workflows such as the use of embedded third-party algorithms and the routing of orders via FIX to third parties and third-party execution systems. The new offering will initially focus on the global equities markets, with the ability to execute direct market access orders in additional asset classes included over time.
"The rollout of the enhanced Eze Castle OMS is a key milestone for ConvergEx, further illustrating the type of solutions our organisation was created to produce," comments Joseph M. Velli, chairman and CEO, BNY ConvergEx Group. "In the eight months since the launch of ConvergEx, we have introduced a number of new technologies, including ConvergEx Cross, VortExSM our dark liquidity pool, a new suite of algorithms, and this latest version of the Eze Castle OMS enhanced with global EMS functionality."
The new architecture enables Eze Castle to incorporate more robust execution functionality into the OMS. It offers an open and flexible service environment that runs multiple services for order management, compliance and execution management simultaneously in one system without compromising speed or reliability, the firm says.
"We've created a simple, fast, single-system solution that reduces the number of clicks required to access liquidity," comments Tom Gavin, CEO, Eze Castle Software. "Adding global EMS functionality to the Eze Castle OMS results in a streamlined workflow and allows users to leverage the full feature sets of what had traditionally been two different systems from one, unified platform."
