Devon Equity Management head of trading joins BMO cash equities team

New hire brings more than 15 years of buy-and sell-side experience to his new role, including stints at BlackRock and Rothschild & Co. 

Christopher Limentani has swapped the buy-side for the sell-side, joining BMO Capital Markets’ cash equities team in London.  

Limentani is set to specialise in electronic trading in his new role, and joins the firm from investment and asset manager Devon Equity Management, where he spent almost seven years as head of trading.

Devon Equity Management was acquired by River Global in October 2025, six years after the firm was founded by former Jupiter Asset Management Colleagues, Alexander Darwall, Luca Emo Capodilista and Richard Pavry, in 2019. 

Limentani brings more than 15 years of buy- and sell-side expertise to his position at BMO Capital Markets, and prior to his time at Devon Equity Management, served as an equity and derivatives trader at BlackRock for more than four years.  

He has also served as an equities algorithmic and program trader at Rothschild & Co, a role he held for four years.  

Earlier in his career, Limentani also worked across various cash equities-related roles at firms including Barclays Investment Bank and Goldman Sachs.
