Chi-Tech, the technology unit of market centre operator Chi-X Global, has made its trading venue connectivity network and managed infrastructure service MarketPrizm available to US-based firms.

MarketPrizm is designed to reduce the technology costs for market participants by offering managed connectivity to European trading venues. Previously the service was available only to European-domiciled firms.

In addition to the connectivity network, which is linked to UK and European trading venues via co-location at regional data centres, the infrastructure consists of hosting options, market data services, third-party trading applications and support.

“In response to requests from firms in the region, we are introducing MarketPrizm to North America as an answer to the high cost and resource investment required for trading infrastructure and connectivity in Europe,” said Nicholas Levy, managing director, MarketPrizm.

MarketPrizm is underpinned by PrizmNet, a ten gigabits-per-second network designed for latency-senstive and electronic trading strategies.
