China Financial Futures Exchange and NASDAQ OMX sign accord

China Financial Futures Exchange and the NASDAQ OMX Group have signed a pact undertaking to strengthen cooperation and promote mutual development.

China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) and the NASDAQ OMX Group have signed a memorandum of understanding at the annual meeting of the World Federation of Exchanges. The pact undertakes to strengthen cooperation and promote mutual development.

Zhang Shenfeng, the chairman of CFFEX, said that part of the exchange’s global strategy was to learn from the experience of overseas markets. The pair will strive to cooperate in matters of technology, consultation, information sharing, staff training, as well as look into possible joint business projects.

CFFEX was jointly founded in 2006 by five Chinese exchanges. It is the only financial futures exchange in China and its liquid CSI 300 Index Futures contract has benchmark status.
