Agency broker and financial technology provider ConvergEx Group has appointed Laura Ryan as sales manager of the Asia region for ConvergEx’s order management system, the Eze OMS.
Based in Singapore, Ryan will report to Chris O’Connor, director of Asia Pacific sales for ConvergEx’s Eze Castle Software. Ryan has over seven years of sales experience in the Asian financial markets. Prior to joining Eze, she was director of sales for southeast Asia, India and Australia at execution management systems provider Tora Trading.
She has also worked for Cantor Fitzgerald/BGC Partners, where she focused on FX and fixed income platforms.
“Laura’s background in investment technology and extensive market knowledge makes her an excellent fit for us,” said O’Connor. “Laura plays a key role in taking our business in Asia to the next level of growth.”
The Eze OMS uses real-time open architecture to streamline the investment cycle for all asset classes, providing support for portfolio management, compliance, trading and operations in a single platform.
ConvergEx Group extended its ADR Direct service to Korea and added four new markets to its Asian algo suite in January. The service allows institutional clients to convert underlying stocks listed in a number of foreign markets into American depository receipts, denominated in US dollars.
