Credit Suisse fixed income head joins Vontobel

Incoming individual replaces former head Simon Lue-Fong and will oversee a team of 39, The TRADE understands.

Vontobel Asset Management has appointed ex-Credit Suisse senior executive Andrew Jackson, as its new head of fixed income, replacing Simon Lue-Fong who is departing after three years in the role.

Jackson joined the business this week and is set to report to co-chief executive and head of investments, Christel Rendu, The TRADE understands.

The move follows Lue-Fong’s retirement after three decades in the business, which has included stints at: Pictet Asset Management, Standard Bank Group, and Invesco.

A spokesperson told The TRADE that Jackson will oversee a team of 39 investment professionals in his new role. 

London-based Jackson was previously head of fixed income at Credit Suisse for almost two years, having served in the same role at Federated Hermes for five years prior to that.

Previously in his career, Jackson spent 13 years at Cairn Capital, most recently serving as chief investment officer.
