Self-styled foreign exchange aggregator Currenex has bought the TradePVR
network appliance application for FIX connectivity monitoring and archiving. The TradePVR solution aims to provide instant recall and searching of all recorded FIX sessions, measures response times on all requests and provides high-level summaries and charting.
“Currenex prides itself on delivering performance and customer service,” says Hu Liang, Director of Integration at Currenex. “With Helium Systems’ FIX TradePVR, Currenex is able to monitor all FIX traffic in one consolidated view, while maintaining the ability to view individual events and messages instantly. Helium Systems’ product is improving Currenex’s customer service without adding performance overhead.”
Currenex was named the “Best FX Trading Technology Vendor” at the e-FX awards earlier this year.
Helium Systems LLC President Alex Malone says that many trading firms have endured the high costs of developing and supporting in-house tools for incident response and data analysis, only to find that their solution falls short at critical moments. “TradePVR is the ideal plug
and play solution at a fraction of the cost of in-house solutions,” he says. “It provides instant recall of FIX transactions, measures response times on all requests, and provides high-level summaries and charting. Using the simple dynamic web interface, even a FIX novice can easily and quickly determine what happened to any given transaction at the lowest possible level. Venues can even extend the use of the tool to their customers via the web.”
Rather than processing large log files on critical FIX servers, the TradePVR network appliance solution unobtrusively captures and processes network traffic in real-time, says Currenex. The product works with any FIX engine or implementation.
