Tariq Aziz has joined Capitolis as a director and trader in capital marketplace execution, after a 10-year tenure at Deutsche Bank.
London-based Aziz will report to Mark Steer, senior director at Capitolis, in his new role on the trading desk.
Previously in his career, he worked in various different sectors at Deutsche Bank, spanning group management consulting, the capital release unit, treasury liquidity modelling and trading.
Aziz initially joined the sell-side bank in 2016, and most recently served as an agency securities lending trader, a role he held for almost four years.

Aziz’s appointment marks further growth for Capitolis, which has been continually building out its offering over the last few months.
Notably, in August 2025, the firm closed its latest strategic round of funding, bringing new investment with Citi leading the funding round, alongside State Street, Morgan Stanley and UBS, who each invested $5 million.
The investments allow the firm to accelerate its growth across its capital marketplace and portfolio optimisation businesses and expand its product offering to its clients.
