DST boosts Asia sales force with new hire

DST Global Solutions, a buy-side software vendor, has appointed Fran Thompson to manage client relationships and sales efforts in Asia.

DST Global Solutions, a buy-side software vendor, has appointed Fran Thompson to manage client relationships and sales efforts in Asia.

In her new role as head of client relationships and new business for Asia, Thompson will be based in Hong Kong and hold responsibility for client account management at DST Global Solutions. She will also lead the sales and relationship management team in Asia, reporting to Philip Hogan, managing director, Asia Pacific.

Thompson was most recently regional account director at SunGard Global Trading Solutions and has also worked as deputy managing director, Asia-Pacific, at index provider FTSE.

“DST Global Solutions has generated a great deal of interest in their Anova solution, which is specifically designed to meet the investment data management challenges within investment and wealth management organisations,” said Thompson. “I look forward to working with existing and new clients to understand the challenges they are facing in the current challenging business environment.”

Anova is DST’s global analytics suite that covers risk management, equity and fixed income analytics and post-trade and regulatory compliance tools.

“Asia is an important and growing market for us and home to a number of our key clients,” added Hogan. “With Fran’s excellent track record in client relations and her knowledge and experience within the investment management sector, I am confident that she will make a significant contribution to our business in meeting our clients’ needs and maintaining our market leading position within the region.”
